About

The purpose of LMOW is to create a linguistic model for universal basic communication through music signs, including a large number of languages. The working languages of the system are Bulgarian, English, Japanese and Spanish. However, along the investigation, the number of languages increased, and there is data from minority languages such as Okinawan and Catalan, among others.

LMOW began by representing uni-, bi-, and multidimensional lexical fields with music signs. Nevertheless, during the working process, other linguistic categories were represented in structural fields in addition to the lexical fields.
